LBL Challenge: Long Exposures
The LBL Challenge put on by Bonk Hard Racing was this past weekend (April 1-3). I decided (late) after my weekend cleared up that I would head across the state to check it out. This marked the third year of the race but I haven’t been able to make to the previous events. It was important that I get an idea of the landscape and meet the Bonk Hard crew because they are designing the course for the 2011 Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing North American Championship which will be held in Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky, which I will be photographing.
Since I had no real shooting obligations… and because I got there so late I just kind of messed around a little. Here are some 30 second exposures I made at the canoe put-in. I painted the canoes with a flashlight. The light streaks are from various headlamps on the racers and chem-lights on the boats.
