2010-2011 Mens Basketball Poster Image/Design
I’ve been working with Adam Martin of Martin Design Studio on EKU Sports Posters for the last two years. We’ve come up with some pretty good stuff but, this (I think) is one of the best we’ve come up with. Actually Adam did all the heavy lifting with the artwork. I was blown away when I saw this. Our mutual athletics contact forwarded me the proof while I was shooting the softball media guide… I was so distracted by this image that I handed my camera over to my assistant to finish up the shoot. Then I immediately texted Adam and through some “creative” wording told him how awesome he is. He is awesome.
This is actually pretty far away from our original concept but… as the story goes… time ran short on getting everyone together… and finding a location. Although the background in this image was created by Adam… at least he didn’t have to composite 100 people separately like he’s had to do in the past. Below is what I gave Adam to work with. It’s amazing what a creative designer can see in an image. I lit it to look like they would be in a certain type of environment. Can’t tell you what that is cuz we’ll probably try again.

Very cool finished poster – and the original shot ain’t bad either, could probably work as it is as well?
