EKU President Doug Whitlock with his iPhone

These photos were shot to accompany an article that President Whitlock wrote for University Business Magazine. The article, Decision-Making in the Age of Connectedness, offers perspective on modern communication tools and their link to the decline in the decision-making capacity among middle-managers.  Not outstanding photos here but I really like the lack of depth I was able to create and the portrait of him is one of my favorites so far (excluding the background). His posture and the look in his eyes… confident and wise. My other favorite is below. One of the first portraits I made of him. I was pretty intimidated to photograph him at that point. He was a new president but had worked here in another capacity for a loooong time before me. Although, he wasn’t at all to blame… I felt like I was on his turf. I still do and that’s why I like him so much. This place has become my home too and its a great comfort knowing he’s personally dedicated to My Home. Dig?
